The Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) and Leon County Sheriff’s Office Joint Property Crimes Task Force (PCTF) along with the TPD Crime Analysis Unit noticed an uptick in reported auto thefts and auto burglaries along the 600 block of West Madison and Saint Augustine Streets. These crimes started in February 2019 and maintained a steady pace through the ensuing weeks. During some of the burglaries, video evidence depicted a male committing the crimes while on foot and riding a bicycle in the early morning hours.

The suspect hid his bike on the premise and began prowling about the complex. The suspect was observed entering the three residential carports below occupied residences and one vehicle. That suspect was apprehended in the act of burglarizing one of the premises and identified as Shaloom Robertson.
