TFD Responds to Multi-Residential Structure Fire on Ross Road

At 09:16 a.m. on August 19, 2019, The Tallahassee Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in the 200 block of Ross Road. First arriving crews were on scene within four minutes and reported heavy smoke conditions upon arrival. Firefighters made entry into the building to extinguish the fire and search the building. Everyone was out of the structure and there were no reported injuries. The fire took approximately 30 minutes to be completely extinguished and damaged two apartments in the six apartment building. The fire caused $60,000 in damages and is currently under investigation by The Tallahassee Fire Department. American Red Cross is assisting the residents affected and TFD was assisted on scene by Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Leon County EMS, Tallahassee Police Department, and City of Tallahassee Utilities.
