Hi, I’m Rufus! I’m a 21-pound guy with a soft spot for naps and cozy places to curl up. My favorite things in the world are comfy couches, warm beds, and being close to my people. I’m a pretty laid-back boy and would happily spend the day relaxing by your side. I came to the shelter when my family had to move because of military service. It was a big change for me, and I can be a little nervous when meeting new people at first. But once I know you, I’m incredibly loyal and protective of my family. I’m already house trained and crate trained, and I walk nicely on a leash. I’m a gentle boy who would do best as the only dog in the home so I can soak up all the love myself. If you’re looking for a calm, devoted companion who will happily share the couch (or your bed!) with you, I might just be your guy. I can’t wait to find my forever home.
