TFD Extinguishes Commercial Building Fire on North Monroe Street

At 2:28 a.m. today, Nov. 17, the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) was dispatched to a commercial building fire located in the 3200 block of North Monroe Street. TFD crews arrived on scene in less than five minutes to find smoke showing from a single-story commercial structure. First arriving crews quickly made entry and found fire in a back office. TFD personnel were able to quickly extinguish the fire. TFD crews performed a search of the structure and found no occupants inside the building.
There were no injuries reported on scene. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and turned over to the State Fire Marshal's office.
TFD was assisted on scene by the Tallahassee Police Department, City of Tallahassee Utilities, Leon County EMS and Leon County Sheriff's Office.
