Multi-residential Structure Fire Extinguished on Holton Street

On March 26, at 2:28 p.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) was dispatched to a structure fire located in the 2500 block of Holton Street. Upon arrival, TFD found a two-story multi-residential structure with smoke coming from the first floor.
TFD personnel made entry and found fire located in a bedroom. The fire was quickly extinguished, and no occupants were found inside the apartment. TFD crews stopped the fire from spreading to any adjoining apartments. There were no reported injuries on scene.
The cause of the fire appears to be electrical in nature.
TFD was assisted on scene by the Tallahassee Police Department, City of Tallahassee Utilities and Leon County EMS. The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the residents.
